Alison, a fully qualified cognitive hypnotherapist suffered with insomnia periodically for many years. She was never keen to take prescription drugs to cope with it, however, when her insomnia would get really bad it was the only thing that seemed to work. Despite her asking various doctor's over the years for alternative ways to deal with her problem this was the only solution she was ever offered.

Without sleeping pills she was tired, felt cold and nauseous, was irritable and would generally lose her sense of enthusiasm for life.

Since turning to the complimentary approach of hypnotherapy a few years back to deal with her sleep problem she has slept perfectly every night, and says she can’t explain how much better life is now she doesn't suffer from insomnia. Using her personal experience of insomnia, and her skills as a cognitive hypnotherapist she wants to help other people who suffer like she once did to be able to improve their life through sleeping well naturally.

Whatever the cause, whether you know why or have no idea, Alison can help you to sleep the way you deserve to every day.

How can Cognitive Hypnotherapy help relieve Insomnia?

Cognitive Hypnotherapy takes recent understandings of neuroscience, neuro linguistic programming (NLP) methods and a modern view of the use of trance, to create a combination that can be very effective in a relatively short amount of time. Many people can see results in as little as 2-4 sessions.

Why should you not be able to sleep when it's such a natural thing to do? Do you ever look at an animal sleeping and wish you could sleep so peacefully. The way our environment has evolved means that we no longer have basic needs like an animal, i.e. food to eat, a home to live in, sex to procreate. We now have the added everyday stresses of life, which even though we take much of it in our stride, it means our brain has a lot of activity and can find it hard to relax.

We each have our own unique perception of the world around us, and any problems we have are unique to us. Alison’s approach works within each persons view of the world to get the best results for them. Her belief is that everybody already has the resources they need to live their life the way they want to, sometimes they just need a little guidance to be more aware of their own capabilities.

Alison Rouse is a fully-qualified and insured Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner. She trained at the internationally-recognised Quest Institute, who provide cutting-edge training which exceeds the National Occupational Standards set for hypnotherapy in the UK.
